Custom software

The industry norm is to hand you an existing product and ask your people to adapt to it. We work the other way round: the software adapts to your processes.

What we build

  • Business applications and internal tools, from a single workstation to a multi-site system
  • Web applications and administration interfaces
  • Desktop software for Windows, macOS and Linux, graphical or command-line
  • Embedded systems and software driving physical hardware
  • Utilities, gateways and automation that make repetitive work disappear

Long-standing cross-platform experience

We have been writing cross-platform software since the early generations of Windows and macOS, through personal digital assistants and the first mobile systems, and on to today’s architectures. That continuity has a practical consequence: we know what ages well.

It also explains part of our method. We have seen enough dominant technologies disappear never to rest a whole system on the fashion of the moment, and to favour choices you will still be able to maintain in ten years.

Systems & embedded

Interactive connected coffee machine

Development, for a major brand, of an interactive coffee machine driven by a touchscreen and connected to the internet. The embedded software controls movements, pumps and recipes, on a system with no moving parts and therefore completely silent.

Business applications

Centralised point-of-sale system for a retail chain

For a Swiss fast-food retail chain: design of the network and functional architecture, development of the till software with receipt printers, stock management and inter-site transfers, then rollout, operation and ongoing evolution of the system. All data — deliveries, sales, losses, unsold stock — feeds a central analysis.

Interactive cross-platform screensavers

Development of interactive, animated screensavers delivered across a very wide range of devices — mobile phones, personal digital assistants and desktop computers on Windows, macOS and Linux. An in-house platform let a single version be written and then adapt itself to each device’s characteristics: cross-platform work done long before today’s tooling existed.
